一般的な消毒・滅菌の方法
I. 病原性微生物
自然界には、肉眼では見えず、光や電子顕微鏡でなければ観察できない小さな生物、「微生物」がたくさんいます。 自然界に存在する微生物の大半は、人間や動物、植物の生活に有益かつ不可欠な存在です。しかし、人・動物・植物に害を及ぼし、病気を引き起こす病原微生物と呼ばれるものも少なからず存在します。病原微生物には、細菌、放線菌、真菌、ウイルスなどがあり、その種類は多岐にわたります。
1.細菌：ほぼどこにでも生息し、温度、湿度、栄養などの一定の条件下で急速に増殖し、大量に発生する単細胞の微生物。 主に皮膚の傷口、口、鼻腔、目、耳から体内に侵入する。 病原微生物は種類によって消毒薬に対する耐性が異なる。
(1) 細菌の増殖：消毒剤で容易に破壊され、一般にグラム陽性菌は消毒剤に敏感で抗菌塗層、グラム陰性菌は消毒剤に耐性がある。増殖体は熱に弱く、消毒方法は主に熱消毒である。
(2)細菌桿菌：桿菌は、要因だけでなく、抵抗を実施する消毒する最強の能力を持って、役割細菌桿菌を殺すために最も信頼性の高い方法は、放射線やエチレンオキサイド燻蒸法を生成する電離、殺菌に影響を与える熱です。 殺菌剤として使われる薬品のうち、グルタルアルデヒドとペルオキシ酢酸は出芽細胞を殺すことができるが、加熱殺菌法に比べると確実性に欠ける。
ウイルス(Virus)は、数ある微生物の中でも形や構造が最も小さく単純であり、その殺菌因子に対する耐性は微生物種によってかなり異なる。親水性のウイルスは、親油性のウイルスよりも耐性が高い。ウイルスは、核酸(DNAまたはRNA)を1つだけ含む小型で単純な非細胞生物であり、生きた細胞に寄生して複製的に増殖することが必要である。ウイルスは非常に小さく、そのほとんどは電子顕微鏡で見ることができる。
3.菌類：葉緑素を持たない単細胞または多細胞の真核生物で、乾燥、日光、紫外線、ほとんどの化学物質に耐性を持つが、熱には弱く、1時間で60℃を破壊する。
II.消毒・滅菌
洗浄、消毒、滅菌は、感染予防と管理の重要な側面です。 病院や美容院などの内外環境の洗浄・消毒も含まれます。 医療機器・器具・薬剤の消毒・滅菌、感染症接触者の消毒・隔離、終末消毒などが含まれます。

2.滅菌の概念：滅菌とは、人間が持っている微生物をすべて殺す、あるいは除去する方法です。 含まれています。
(1) 物理的殺菌：乾熱殺菌(焼成、燃焼、焼成等を含む)、湿熱殺菌(熱圧殺菌、循環式蒸気殺菌、沸騰殺菌、低温断続殺菌、低温殺菌を含む)、紫外線殺菌、フィルター殺菌、放射線殺菌、マイクロ波殺菌等。
